Should I shorten my prayers during Umrah?

Q: Sheikh, Assalam o Alaikum, I'm going to umrah inshaAllah next week with my parents and have a question about prayer. I'd be in Makkah for 3 days and Medina for 3 days. I believe I'd be doing Qasr prayer at both places, is that correct? If so, how would I pray in congregation when it's full Salah?

A: Wa ‘alaykum al-salam. While shortening prayers during travel is preferred, it is permissible to complete them and obligatory if led by a local Imam.
