How many rakahs should I pray in witr?

Q: How many rakahs should I pray in witr?

A: The witr prayer is at least one rakʿah and at most 11. The least complete form of witr is three rakahs with two salāms; one after the tashahud of the first 2 rakah and then another after the final single rakah. One taslim is permitted when all the rakahs are prayed continuously with a sitting for tashahud after every 2 rakahs.
